This UV-measuring instrument is used to check the performance of UV-lamps. It can be used wherever a conveyor belt or similar runs past UV lamps, e.g. in UV curing systems, photoresist exposure systems, PCB exposure systems, etc. in the woodworking and printing industry as well as in the electronics industry where medium pressure UV lamps are used.

The UV Disc is placed on or attached to the transport in such a way that the sensor on the back of the unit faces the UV lamp. It detects the incident UV radiation in a wavelength range during the passage through the unit and integrates it during the irradiation time.

The total irradiation (UV dose) is then read on the LCD display in mJ/cm². Regular measurements can be taken to determine the time at which the UV lamp must be changed.
