Biofilm on filter or heat exchanger
A biofilm of 5mm can weaken ventilation up to 40%.
Air circulation, temperature fluctuations and humidity allow micro-organisms to combine with each other in complex ways and to settle or accumulate everywhere on surfaces inside the AC system in the form of an unpleasant biofilm.
This biofilm adheres especially between the fins of heat exchangers (it settles in water collection tanks and clogs the filters in the ducts). A biofilm of less than 5mm can reduce system efficiency by up to 40%.
Drip water or humidification systems
In dead water accumulations in an air-conditioning system, the conditions for microbiological growth are very good. This means that a large number of microorganisms accumulate in these waters and make the water unusable and dangerous.
UV STICK SCR is very flexible and easy to use. The serial connection of more than 10 devices makes it possible to switch on all systems via a single power cable.
